UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, marked UAE Flag Day on Sunday (November 3) by leading a ceremonial flag-raising at Qasr Al Hosn, a historical landmark in the heart of Abu Dhabi. He was joined by top-achieving students from across the nation, underscoring the significance of the day and instilling national pride among the country's youth. In his message on X, Sheikh Mohamed said, "In honour of UAE Flag Day, we raised our nation’s flag with pride at Qasr Al Hosn, accompanied by top-achieving students from across the nation. With their determination and ambition, the next generation will continue to drive the UAE’s progress and keep our flag flying high." The ceremony opened with the UAE national anthem, resonating through Qasr Al Hosn as students and officials stood in respect, with the UAE flag symbolizing unity, belonging, and national pride. Sheikh Mohamed's decision to include students highlights the UAE's commitment to empowering young leaders, fostering a sense of responsibility toward the nation’s future. In a parallel event, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, raised the flag at Qasr Al Watan. Addressing attendees, he praised the UAE flag as a symbol of resilience and unity. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also celebrated Flag Day, saying, "On UAE Flag Day, we are inspired by the vision of our Founding Fathers as we continue to reinforce the UAE’s progress. Through the spirit of determination, we continue the Union’s journey, driven by the dedication of UAE’s youth." Flag Day ceremonies continued across the UAE, with key events in Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, presided over a ceremony at Al Qawasim Corniche, joined by citizens, officials, and members of the royal family.
