A few days before the 51st National Day of the UAE, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 1,530 prisoners. The people who were released from jail had been put there for various crimes. His Majesty Sheikh Mohamed also promised to pay off the prisoners' financial obligations after release. The President's pardon gives the people in jail a chance to think about their futures and do good things for their families and communities to have good social and professional lives.
