Al Maktoum says giov't to continue supporting, developing young Emiratis

  DUBAI – UAE Prime Minister Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has recognized the role of the Emirati youth sector in helping the country "achieve the nation's vision of excellence and leadership." Al Maktoum, who is also Ruler of Dubai, made the statement during a visit of an exhibition that showcased achievements of Emirati youths at the Emirates Towers and is organized by the Emirates Youth Council. The exhibition opened yesterday and will run until February 28. Al Maktoum said the UAE, under the leadership of President Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, "is proactive in supporting youth and empowering them, so that they can effectively utilise their capabilities in serving the nation." He also said the UAE is aggressive in helping youths come up with solutions for all issues and challenges that face the UAE society. "Today, we are proud of your achievements in all fields, you carry on your shoulders massive responsibilities, because you are the hope of the UAE. We have huge ambitions for you, because you are the present and the future. Through your proposals and suggestions, we will work to build a bright future for the nation," said Al Maktoum. After his speech, Al Maktoum participated in the Youth Circle to discuss initiatives and projects of the Emirates Youth Council. "Your proposals and suggestions will be a part of the UAE government's strategy and our regular work plans.
