The UAE is expected to experience one final wave of unstable weather, with heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and possible hail forecast until Friday (March 27), according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Authorities have urged residents, especially in Abu Dhabi, to take precautions as the country continues to be affected by a low-pressure system bringing successive waves of rainfall. This week's rainfall tbegan in western regions and islands before spreading to coastal areas including Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah, and later reaching inland and eastern areas such as Al Ain. According to NCM, satellite images and radar data showed cloud formations moving across the country, with convective clouds bringing heavy rainfall. The impact of the weather system is expected to weaken slightly on Thursday, with chances of light to moderate rain in some areas. However, from Thursday evening into Friday, a final and more intense wave is forecast as the low-pressure system deepens. This phase is expected to bring heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder and possible hail in some areas before conditions gradually improve. By Saturday, skies are expected to clear, with cooler temperatures and active northwesterly winds. Authorities also warned of reduced visibility due to blowing dust and sand, along with rough sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
