The authority said initial readings indicate that the severe weather conditions will not directly impact the UAE, but that it could trigger rainfall in eastern and southern regions, and some areas may experience rough waves. "Rough seas and some seawater may reach certain coastal areas, without any signs that might affect other areas of the country," according to NCEMA. The National Centre of Meteorology warned that some eastern and northern areas, including Fujairah, will experience some strong winds, stirring dust and sand that will reduce visibility to less than 3,000 meters at times until 6pm on Saturday.
