The UAE has been ranked the happiest country in the Arab world and 21st globally in the World Happiness Report 2026. The report, published by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network and supported by Gallup World Poll data, evaluated 147 countries based on factors such as income, health, freedom, generosity, and trust in institutions. The UAE scored 6.8 points on the global index, placing it ahead of several major economies. The rankings highlight the country’s strong performance across key indicators. The UAE placed fourth globally in freedom to make life choices, eighth in GDP per capita at around $70,000, and 19th in generosity. It also ranked 30th worldwide in life expectancy.
