The UAE has once again been recognized as the happiest country in the Arab world, while also ranking 21st globally in the 2025 World Happiness Report. The report, issued by the Well-being Research Centre at the University of Oxford in collaboration with Gallup and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Solutions Network, placed the UAE ahead of major global economies, including the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The rankings were based on several key factors, including quality of life assessment, social support, economic performance, and overall well-being. The UAE scored 6.759 out of 10 in life evaluation, ranked 92nd in social support, and placed 7th in per capita gross domestic product. The UAE also stood out in community engagement, ranking 19th in willingness to donate, 16th in volunteering hours, and 12th in recovering lost items. The top five happiest countries globally are Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
