UAE ranks first for expat relocation, survey reveals
A Global Insight survey has placed the UAE among the world’s top location for expatriates wanting to relocate to the Middle East. The UAE outranked 200 countries in the recent survey, and also ranked among the top 10 locations for expat relocations worldwide. According to the global poll, compared to expats migrating to any other country in the world, those who relocate to the UAE tend to stay there for a longer amount of time. On average, expats stay in the UAE for 4.4 years, which is much longer than the global average of 3.2 years. This is due to the UAE's greater quality of life, better financial situation, and more stable job market. The UAE’s multicultural environment and expat-friendly laws make it attractive to foreigners who want to live or work here. The country is home to more than 200 nationals from different nations, and a vast majority of the population are foreigners. Many of them choose to settle in highly urbanized Dubai and Abu Dhabi. High standards of living make the UAE a magnet for expats, and the country is among the nations with the highest overall standards of living in the world. The UAE has efficient worker insurance programs, and family laws for both citizens and expats. It also has lenient visa regulations, and better employment possibilities.
