UAE recalls 3,835 Toyota, Mercedes and Suzuki cars, motorcycles

  DUBAI – The UAE Ministry of Economy has recalled 3,835 cars and motorcycles from Toyota, Mercedes and Suzuki due to “manufacturing defects”. Among those recalled were 3,731 Toyota Rush and Toyota Avanza vehicles manufactured in 2017, 2018 and 2019. According to the ministry, the affected Toyota cars were recalled over fears of a fuel pump defect that may cause the vehicle to stall. Affected vehicle owners can bring their vehicle for repair free of cost at Al Futtaim Motors. The ministry also announced the recall of seven Mercedez-Benz GLC-Class Model 253 and GLC-Class (platform 253) 2017-2020 model. The cars were recalled due to substandard gas line connections in the filtration system that may cause problems. Owners can have their cars repaired for free at Gargash Enterprises or Emirates Motor Company. The ministry also recalled 97 Suzuki LT-Z 90 motorcycles manufactured from April to July 2019.
