UAE records lowest daily number of Covid-19 cases in nearly a year
DUBAI – The UAE on Thursday (September 9) recorded its lowest daily number of Covid-19 cases in nearly a year, with 772 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours. This was lower than the more than 800 cases recorded on Wednesday, as the UAE’s daily number of infected cases continued to drop this week. According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the infected individuals are from various nationalities and are in stable condition and receiving necessary care. The ministry noted that additional 1,026 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 717,257. Four people died due to Covid-19 complications in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the UAE to 2,057. Meanwhile, mass screenings are still ongoing, with the ministry announcing that 286,017 additional Covid-19 tests were conducted over the past 24 hours. The ministry said it continues to expand the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
