The UAE's National Meteorological Centre has issued red and yellow warnings due to heavy fog covering large areas from Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The thick fog is expected to reduce visibility, making travel risky, especially in the early morning.
Motorists are advised to be cautious, drive slowly, and keep a safe distance between vehicles. Abu Dhabi Police lowered speed limits on several main roads, as usual, and drivers are urged to follow the speed changes shown on electronic boards. Dubai Police also warned residents to drive safely due to reduced visibility.
Weather
Expect fair weather, with partly cloudy skies forming in the east by the afternoon. Temperatures are likely to drop, particularly in the western regions.
Humidity will increase overnight and into Friday morning, with the possibility of fog or mist developing in coastal and inland areas.
Winds will be light to moderate, with occasional stronger gusts during the day. The sea will generally be calm to moderate, though the Arabian Gulf may turn rough at times in the west, while the Oman Sea remains calm.
Temperatures will peak at 38℃ in Abu Dhabi and 37℃ in Dubai. Humidity levels could also reach up to 90 percent. FLE/Expat Media
