The UAE rescue team is continuing its round-the-clock efforts to extinguish devastating wildfires in Albania, working closely with local authorities as part of the UAE’s commitment to international humanitarian aid. The mission, carried out under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has deployed specialized teams and advanced aircraft to combat the fast-spreading fires that began on August 5. According to officials, the UAE team has conducted dozens of aerial sorties over the past week, dropping thousands of kilograms of water to control the flames and prevent their recurrence. The fires, fueled by extreme heatwaves, prolonged drought, and strong winds, have destroyed large swathes of forested land across the country.
