Residents can issue birth certificates online at Dh60
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) launched a digital service on Thursday (February 23) that provides a convenient way for Emiratis and expatriates to obtain birth certificates without visiting any government office or typing center. According to the ministry, residents can easily file a request with the new MoHAP service and pay a fee of Dh60 which will be completed within one working day. Here are all you need to know about applying for birth certificates using the MoHAP service in the UAE.What are the required documents to apply for birth certificates using the MoHAP service in the UAE?
For expats: - Birth notification. - Identity cards or passports of the mother and father, if any. - Marriage document or document or declaration from the parents attributing the newborn to them certified by the embassy of the country to which they belong or by a notary public. For out-of-hospital births, the following document is also required in addition to those listed above: - A letter from the court stating that the delivery took place at home, including the place and date of birth and parents' names. In cases where the child is born inside the UAE but the father is not a resident of the country, the following documents are required: - Certified marriage contract. - Declaration from the wife confirming the continuity of the marriage. -Certified copy of the husband's passport, a letter from the embassy stating the father's nationality, or a declaration from the husband attested by his country's embassy establishing his parental relationship with the child. According to the ministry, the person must refer the matter to the Newborn Committee if the required documents are unavailable. For citizens: - Copy and original of the parent's marriage certificate for the first national child (where the marriage took place outside the UAE, the marriage certificate must be attested by the UAE embassy abroad and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs). - Copies and original passports and IDs of both the fathers’ and mothers'. - Copy and original of the family book (if the mother is of another nationality, her passport with residency page is required). In case of birth abroad, the following documents are also required in addition to those mentioned above: - Birth certificate attested by the UAE embassy and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of birth.How much does it cost to apply for a birth certificate using the MoHAP service in the UAE?

- Send an SMS with the notification number and the location of the service provider. - Sign in to e-services, enter username and password, and log into the e-system. - Apply the e-system and pay the fees online. - Get the certificate delivered or visit a public health center in the same emirate to verify the original document.
