Private sector employees across the UAE will enjoy a four-day weekend from December 1 to 4 to mark the 53rd UAE National Day, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced. The paid holidays, set for December 2 and 3, coincide with the weekend, providing a final long break of the year. The UAE government earlier confirmed similar holidays for ministries and federal entities. Known as Eid Al Etihad, the National Day commemorates the unification of the seven emirates in 1971. This year, the nation celebrates its 53rd anniversary with an array of festivities, from fireworks to concerts. ICA/Expat Media ALSO READ: Dubai to kick of Eid Al Etihad celebrations on Nov 29
