Jail and up to Dh200,000 for cloning, using humans as research subjects in UAE

  ABU DHABI – A new law in the UAE bans human cloning and using human beings as medical research subjects and imposes jail time and a hefty fine to violators. Under the Medical Responsibility Law, it is illegal to create a genetically identical copy of a human or the reproduction of human cells and tissue. The law also bans using human beings as medical research subjects without written approval from authorities.
