After a weekend of downpours across parts of the UAE, residents can expect more scattered rainfall and windy conditions in the coming days. On Sunday (October 12), heavy rain lashed Mohammed bin Zayed City in Al Hayl, Fujairah and parts of Kalba, waking residents to the sound of rain showers. The downpour came just a day after rain was reported in the eastern and northern regions, including Wadi Shawka and Asma Ancient Village in Ras Al Khaimah. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said the country will continue to experience unsettled weather until at least Tuesday (October 14) due to a surface low-pressure system combined with an upper air low influencing the region. The weather bureau warned of fresh to strong winds at times, particularly with cloud activity, which may cause blowing dust and reduced visibility on open roads. Coastal and island areas are also expected to see rough seas during periods of heavy cloud cover. Residents are advised to drive carefully, avoid flooded valleys, and follow updates from the NCM as unstable weather conditions persist. Here’s the 5-day weather forecast from the NCM: Sunday, October 12 Fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of some convective clouds formation northward and eastward and extending to some internal and southern areas and islands, associated with rainfall. Light to moderate winds and fresh to strong at times, especially with clouds causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility. Monday, October 13 Fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of some convective clouds formation northward and eastward, and extending to some internal and southern areas and islands, associated with rainfall. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some western areas with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds and fresh to strong at times, especially with clouds causing blowing dust and sand reducing the horizontal visibility, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 55 Km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate, may become rough at times with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea. Tuesday, October 14 Fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of some convective clouds formation eastward and southward, associated with rainfall. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northwesterly winds, and freshening at times with clouds causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 40 Km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. Wednesday, October 15 Fair to partly cloudy, and low clouds will appear over some eastern and southern areas. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 - 25 reaching 35 Km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. Thursday, October 16 Fair to partly cloudy, and cloudy at times over some areas. Humid by night and Friday morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 - 25 reaching 35 Km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
