The UAE has sent emergency response vehicles and medical aid to help Syrian residents dealing with wildfires raging along the northwestern coastline. A recently published video by Syria's White Helmet emergency response team revealed the severity of wildfires in the Idlib countryside. In the midst of a worldwide heatwave, firefighters are actively combating fierce wildfires in the countryside of Latakia. The UAE’s Emirates Red Crescent said it provided four firefighting vehicles, two ambulances, burn medication and pain relief drugs to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Latakia. In Damascus, the UAE embassy has established a coordination office to efficiently monitor and provide foreign aid. It is the first in a series of offices established by the UAE in several countries.
