The UAE is bracing for a sweltering two-week stretch of intense summer weather from Monday (August 11) until August 24, according to the weather bureau. On Monday, temperatures are forecast to soar to 47°C in some inland areas, with frequent dust storms and high humidity, particularly along coastal areas. Winds from the northeast are expected to worsen air quality and reduce visibility. Forecasters say the heat will peak in the afternoons, while evenings may bring slight relief with cooler conditions. There’s also a chance of rainfall in eastern areas on some afternoons during the period. Authorities are advising residents to limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, stay hydrated, and take precautions during dusty conditions.
