The UAE has set a new Guinness World Record with the longest line of sustainable pizzas, showcasing its dedication to environmental responsibility and culinary excellence. The record-breaking event, held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival Bay early in November, combined sustainability and tradition with a charitable twist. The Guinness World Record title was awarded on Thursday (November 21). Sponsored by Italfood, a UAE-based company renowned for its Italian cheese-making, the initiative also highlighted the nation’s commitment to giving back. “This event captures the heart of people giving to the community,” said an Italfood representative. The pizzas will be distributed to underprivileged families through Dubai Charity Association and Hifz Al Niaama, organizations known for their food redistribution efforts. The highlight of the pizzas was a revolutionary ingredient: filtered seawater. “Our bodies reflect the composition of seawater. Incorporating this ingredient enhances both taste and nutritional value,” said Dr. Vincenzo Di Donna, the initiative’s lead innovator. Italfood, established in 1955, continues to marry tradition with modernity. Their cheeses, made with natural ingredients, are crafted daily with milk sourced from local Emirati farms, bridging Italian heritage with local UAE flavors. Hifz Al Niaama, a project under the Royati Family Society, has been reducing food waste since 2004 by collecting surplus food and redistributing it to families in need. This partnership ensured that the pizzas created during the event reached those who need them most. ICA/Expat Media
