The UAE cabinet approved the federation's general budget for 2023-2026, with total expenditures of Dhs252.3 billion and total revenues of Dhs255.7 billion. His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai presided over the UAE cabinet meeting on Monday at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi. "Today, I chaired the Cabinet meeting at Al Watan Palace in Abu Dhabi, in which we approved the general budget of the Federation 2023-2026 with total expenditures of 252.3 billion dirhams and total revenues of 255.7 billion dirhams," Sheikh Mohammed tweeted. "The Union's budget is sustainable and balanced, and it is a major driver of the Union Government and its development ambitions for the people of the Union," he added in another tweet. The cabinet also discussed the Emirates Railway Project, the country's largest infrastructure project, connecting 11 cities, seven logistics centers, and four international ports. The project is directed by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed and is overseen and monitored by Theyab Bin Mohammed. The cabinet also approved the UAE's membership in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum and congratulated the country on its re-election to the International Civil Aviation Organization's Council (ICAO). "The UAE's position in the leading international organisations is being consolidated thanks to the efforts of our work teams that see its country only at the fore," Sheikh Mohammed tweeted further.
