On Wednesday, a 13-year-old boy and his 39-year-old father perished when they fell into a water hole in Wadi Shahah, Ras Al Khaimah. The Ras Al Khaimah Police marine rescue branch promptly raced to the scene after authorities got a call this evening reporting the occurrence. According to investigations, the child started drowning in a rainwater-filled hole. Although his father jumped into the hole to save him, he was unsuccessful, and both father and son died. Marine rescue personnel arrived and started a thorough search with rubber boats until they found both bodies. After the bodies were moved to the mortuary, the appropriate authorities took charge of the investigation.
