As the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 kicks off on Saturday (February 7) in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai Police is inviting the public to take part in a creative video competition with prizes of up to Dh10,000. Titled the “SWAT Clip” competition, the initiative encourages participants to capture the energy and spirit of one of the world’s leading tactical competitions. The prize for first place is Dh10,000. Second place gets the Dh5,000 prize, while third place gets the Dh3,000. Brigadier Ali Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness and General Supervisor of the Competition, said interest has already been strong. “Since the competition opened on the 28th of last month, 97 students from 16 countries have registered,” he said. “The competition has drawn participants from a diverse array of national and cultural backgrounds, including the UAE, the People’s Republic of China, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Iran, and a variety of Arab, Gulf, and other nations around the world,” he added.

What to film

Participants are encouraged to highlight: • Teamwork and cooperation • Leadership and discipline • Focus under pressure • Tactical readiness • Cultural diversity among teams The goal is to professionally document the competition and showcase Dubai Police’s global leadership in specialised policing.

Rules and technical details

Entries must be submitted by February 17 to: social@dubaipolice.gov.ae. Videos must: • Be 30 to 60 seconds long • Be filmed in vertical portrait format • Be submitted in MP4 or MOV format Artificial intelligence tools and computer-generated graphics are allowed. Music must be original or properly licensed. Drone use is prohibited unless officially authorised. Content that contradicts the values of the competition or harms its image will be excluded. The UAE SWAT Challenge 2026 runs from February 7 to 11 in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai. Free tickets are available via Virgin Megastore. ICA/Expat Media
