Taxi fares reduced as fuel prices roll back in September

Taxi fares in Ajman have been reduced by 6%, providing relief to passengers given the rise in demand for the service. Following the rollback of fuel prices in the UAE on Wednesday, the Ajman Public Transport Authority (APTA) announced the reduced cost of taxi fares. APTA's initiative aims to enhance services while adhering to efficient controls and standards that improve consumer convenience without raising costs. As of Wednesday (September 1), Super 98 petrol costs Dh3.41 a liter, compared to Dh4.03 in August. Special 95 petrol is now Dh3.30 per liter, compared to Dh3.92, while E-Plus 91 petrol is at Dh3.22 a liter, compared to Dh3.84 a liter, and diesel costs Dh3.87 a liter compared to Dh4.14 last month. According to a senior APTA official, the decline indicates the success of the digital transformation plans developed by the authority to establish the vital sector and make taxi users happy in the emirate.
