UAE temperature to reach 49C, but rain expected

  DUBAI – Parts of the UAE will experience high temperatures of up to 49 degrees Celsius on Monday (August 9), but will also see some rain, according to the weather bureau. The weather forecast by National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) came after several areas of the UAE experienced some downpours on Sunday afternoon. According to NCM, there is a chance of more rain on Monday afternoon, with some clouds forecast to form in the east. Here is the rest of the week’s weather forecast

Monday, August 9

Fair to partly cloudy, hot and hazy at times during daytime. Low clouds appear over the East coast by morning, with a chance of some convective clouds formation by afternoon over some Eastern and Southern areas may be rainy. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some Western coastal areas, with a probability of mist formation. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, August 10

Fair to partly cloudy, hot and hazy at times during daytime. Low clouds appear over the East coast by morning, may be convective by afternoon Eastward. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over some coastal areas especially Westward, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Southwesterly, becoming Northwesterly and Northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, August 11

Fair to partly cloudy and hazy at times during daytime. Low clouds appear over the East coast by morning. Temperatures tend to decrease over the coasts. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some coastal areas, with a probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 35 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Thursday, August 12

Fair to partly cloudy and hazy at times during daytime. Low clouds appear over the East coast by morning and by afternoon over the mountains. Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 35 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Friday, August 13

Fair to partly cloudy and hazy at times during daytime. Low clouds appear over the East coast by morning, with a probability of some convective clouds formation by afternoon Eastward. Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly and Northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr.
