UAE temperatures to drop significantly over coastal areas, mountains

  DUBAI – UAE residents will experience a chilly Tuesday (January 25) and the rest of the week as significant drops in temperatures are forecast across the emirate. According to the National Center of Meteorology, the highest temperature will be 26°C in internal areas, dropping to 10°C later in the day, and 12°C in coastal areas, while mountainous areas will experience temperature drops of up to 4°C. The UAE's cold weather is set to continue until next weekend, with temperatures down to 10°C in some areas. The weather is expected to be humid with a chance of fog or mist formations by morning over internal areas on Tuesday, with temperatures to slightly increase on Wednesday and Thursday before getting significantly colder over western and coastal areas on Friday. Another slight decrease in temperatures is expected Saturday, with light to moderate northwesterly winds at a speed of 15 to 40km/hr. Here is the UAE weather forecast for the rest of the week

Tuesday, January 25

Fair to partly cloudy at times. Humid by night and Wednesday morning with fog or mist formation over some internal and coastal areas. Light to moderate winds. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, January 26

Fair to partly cloudy in general. With increase in temperatures. Humid by night and Thursday morning with a chance of fog or mist formation over some internal and coastal areas. Light to moderate Northeasterly to Southeasterly winds, with a speed of 10 – 20 reaching 30 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Thursday, January 27

Fair to partly cloudy in general. Humid by night and Friday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over some coastal areas. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds becoming Northwesterly by Friday morning Westward, freshening at times especially over the sea, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough by Friday morning in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Friday, January 28

Fair to partly cloudy in general and dusty at times. With decrease in temperatures, being significant over Western and coastal areas. Humid by night and Saturday morning with a probability of mist formation over some Eastern internal areas. Moderate to Fresh Northwesterly winds especially over the sea, causing blowing dust over some exposed areas, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Saturday, January 29

Fair to partly cloudy in general and dusty at times. Humid by night and Sunday morning over some internal areas. With another slight decrease in temperatures. Light to Moderate Northwesterly winds, freshening at times over the sea, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.
