UAE temperatures to hit 46C

  DUBAI – The UAE will experience sweltering temperatures on Thursday (May 30), with the weather bureau saying that temperatures will hit 46 degrees Celsius in parts of the country. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said that internal areas will hit peak temperatures ranging from 41 to 46 degrees Celsius while coastal areas and islands will hit 39 to 44 degrees Celsius. Mountainous areas will experience temperatures between 27 to 33 degrees Celsius. The NCM said that Thursday’s weather will be fair in general and partly cloudy and hazy at times during the daytime in the eastern areas, with winds stirring up dust over internal areas in the daytime. Over the weekend, the weather will be fair in general. Friday’s weather will also be “partly cloudy and hazy at times during daytime over the eastern and southern areas”. The weather bureau said that Saturday’s weather will be “fair in general and partly cloudy at times over some areas”, with some strong winds kicking up dust.
