Two Asian employees of a company were found guilty of embezzlement by the Dubai Criminal Court. The two received a six-month prison term after amassing about Dh3 million in just five months. The case files state that the first defendant worked as an administrator for a business that provided real estate administrative supervision services. He would use the services provided by his company for himself while collecting rent from the tenants as required by his line of work. According to the Public Prosecution's inquiries, the first defendant stole money from the tenants and created phony invoices to keep the money for himself. The public prosecution accused the first defendant of stealing Dh3 million from the business where he worked. One of the company's representatives confirmed the amount that had been stolen and the time frame for the crime. The second accused came forward and confessed due to an internal investigation and an advisory report submitted in the case. Later, the first accused also admitted to his crime. BKM/ Expat Media
