The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) has urged the public to stay away from any debris or suspicious objects that may have fallen in parts of the UAE on Saturday (February 28). Authorities advised residents not to approach, touch or photograph such objects to allow specialised teams to carry out safety procedures without disruption. In a statement, NCEMA said the UAE’s crisis response system is operating within a cohesive national framework supported by advanced operational capabilities. The authority stressed that relevant entities are monitoring developments around the clock in full coordination with partners. “We reassure everyone that the situation is currently under control. The competent authorities are closely and continuously monitoring the situation at all times and around the clock, and all necessary precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of everyone,” the Authority stated. Officials added that the UAE maintains a high level of readiness to respond swiftly to emerging developments, noting that public safety and security remain a top priority. The advisory comes amid heightened regional tensions after Israel announced it had launched what it described as a pre-emptive strike against Iran, raising fears of a wider military confrontation in the Middle East. Authorities said updates will be issued through official channels as necessary and urged the public to rely only on verified sources for information. CAM/WAM/Expat Media
