The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has urged residents not to engage in panic buying, reassuring the public that markets across the country remain stable and well supplied despite ongoing regional tensions. The Ministry said the UAE’s strategic reserves of essential commodities are robust, diversified and capable of meeting domestic needs for extended periods. It confirmed that both food and non-food items are available in ample quantities across retail outlets nationwide. Authorities are closely monitoring stock levels through an advanced electronic price-monitoring system that continuously collects and analyses data. Regular assessments are also being conducted to prevent shortages and maintain price stability. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, said the UAE has built a resilient economic system capable of facing regional and global challenges. “Thanks to the wise and forward-looking vision of its leadership, the UAE has successfully built a resilient economic system capable of confronting a wide range of regional and global challenges. The country continues to enhance its preparedness for various regional and international developments, placing food security and the availability of goods among its highest priorities,” he said. He confirmed that import activity and the flow of goods are proceeding normally, with no indications of supply disruptions. “We urge the public to remain reassured and not to be driven by unfounded concerns, excessive purchasing or stockpiling. The UAE’s markets are well supplied with the full range of goods and products consumers need,” he added. The Ministry said it is in daily coordination with suppliers, distributors and retailers to ensure continuous availability. Inspection campaigns are also ongoing to prevent unjustified price increases and monopolistic practices, in line with consumer protection regulations.
