In the UAE, violating child labor laws can result in penalties such as jail time and hefty fines. Ras Al Khaimah Police recently took to social media to remind the public of Article (38) on Child Rights. This article prohibits the following: 1. Exploiting children to beg 2. Illegal child labor 3. Forcing children to participate in activities that are detrimental to their education, physical or mental health, or moral and mental integrity. These rules will result in imprisonment and a Dh20,000 or higher fine.
