The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has warned anew that strict action will be taken against anyone recruiting domestic workers without proper licences. In a recent statement, the ministry said it will not tolerate illegal recruitment practices and will impose legal, administrative and financial penalties on violators. These measures may include immediate closure of the business, suspension of commercial activity and referral to judicial authorities. The ministry explained that recruiting domestic workers without a licence is a violation of UAE law and could result in significant fines and further legal consequences. Authorities urged residents to deal only with licensed and accredited recruitment offices and to verify service providers through official channels before signing any agreements. This, the ministry said, will help protect customers’ rights and prevent legal issues. As part of its awareness campaign, the ministry also encouraged the public to report illegal practices to support efforts in regulating the labour market and protecting the community.
