Water Delivery company warns residents against fraudulent promotion

Al Ain Water, a water delivery company, has urged the residents to be wary of fake accounts and fraudulent promotions, advising them to follow only official accounts to avail latest offers and promotions. It has also prompted residents to use their customer service number at 80025246. The company advised the customers to inform the concerned authorities if they spot any accounts with suspicious activity or falsely claiming to be affiliated with the company. The warning came following repeated reports of bogus message attempts earlier this year, making it an uncommon issue in the UAE. Authorities had warned residents to be vigilant, especially on messages claiming to be from courier companies. The UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has announced advisory alerting residents of a scam that urged users to click on links to pay for delivery charges. “Do not click or interact with any such links,” the authority emphasized.
