Big Ticket warns public against fake calls, fraudsters

Big Ticket Abu Dhabi raffle draw hosts have cautioned the public from giving out their personal information on social media platforms to attract scammers' attention. Customers have been warned not to share the contents of their tickets on social media by Bouchra and Richard, the well-known hosts of the GCC's longest-running raffle draw for cash prizes and luxury vehicles. "Please beware of scammers. Do not share the picture of your ticket on social media as it has all your personal information, and it will make you an easy target for scammers," said Bouchra. Bouchra emphasized that Big Ticket only has one social media page on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Big Ticket previously warned customers about a bogus social media account that claimed to be a "second account" of the raffle draw.

How to handle fake calls

"If someone says you have won a Big Ticket, please go to our website (bigticket.ae) and check. The ticket numbers and details are all included there," said Richard. Previous winners have reported getting fake calls from fraudsters posing as Big Ticket representatives. Another reason why an increasing percentage of winners end contact with Richard is that they believe it to be a prank. "If it's on the third of every month and you hear Richard's voice, then believe it, that's your lucky day. And also if I called you during the week. We have our e-draw where we call our winners."
