The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned UAE residents to brace for unstable weather and heavy rainfall beginning on Friday (October 10) and lasting until Tuesday (October 14). According to the weather bureau, the wet conditions are linked to an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the south, coinciding with an upper-level cold and humid air mass. While the NCM did not specify exact rainfall zones, its forecast maps show that Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, and Fujairah are the most likely areas to experience the heaviest downpours this weekend. “During this period, the country is expected to witness light to moderate rainfall, occasionally heavy at scattered intervals, affecting mainly the northern and eastern regions, extending at times to some inland and western areas, with the possibility of small hailstones in limited areas,” reported state news agency WAM, citing NCM forecasts. The NCM also said temperatures will drop, and winds may become strong at times, raising dust and sand. Winds are expected to shift from south-easterly to north-westerly during the period. Authorities are advising motorists to drive carefully and avoid wadis during rain. Here's the weather forecast:

Fair to partly cloudy with a chance of convective clouds formation Eastward and Southward associated with rainfall. Light to moderate Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 40 Km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
