UAE weather: Authorities issue alert for rain, drop in temperature

According to the National Center of Meteorology, the day will be partly cloudy to cloudy in certain regions, with a chance of rain. Rainfall of varying intensity is possible, particularly along the coast, in the north, and in the east, combined with a drop in temperature. The Ministry of Interior issued a notice advising locals to remain vigilant and avoid traveling at fast speeds. According to the alert: "Weather Alert: Due to the possibility of the exposure of several areas in the country to fluctuations in weather conditions please take care while driving and avoid valleys and places where water flows." Winds will be moderate to severe, with clouds at times. Humidity levels will vary from 30 to 70 percent. Temperatures could be as high as 28ºC in the country. Mercury is set to rise to 26ºC in Abu Dhabi and 25ºC in Dubai. Sea conditions will sometimes be moderate to rough, with cloud activity in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Oman Sea.
