UAE weather forecast: Expect more rain this week

Parts of the UAE are forecast to see more rainfall this week, forecasters said on Sunday (January 8), a day after rain of varying intensities hit parts of Dubai and the rest of the country. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Sunday’s weather will be “partly cloudy in general with a chance of rainfall during the daytime over some eastern, coastal and internal areas, especially westward areas. ALSO READ: Global Village temporarily closes due to rain  More rainfall is also expected on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday over parts of the UAE. Here’s the five-day weather forecast.

Sunday, January 8

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times with a chance of rainfall during the daytime over some eastern, coastal and internal areas especially westward areas. Humid by night and Monday morning, with a probability of mist formation over some coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times. The sea will be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Monday, January 9

Partly cloudy in general. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some coastal areas. Light to moderate northwesterly and northeasterly winds becoming southeasterly, freshening at times, with a speed of 10 ‐ 20 reaching 35 km/hr. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, January 10

Partly cloudy and dusty at times with rise in temperatures during daytime, becoming cloudy over some areas by night with a probability of rainfall by Wednesday morning. Moderate to fresh southeasterly becoming northwesterly winds, with a speed of 10 ‐ 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Wednesday, January 11

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times with a chance of rainfall especially over coats, islands and some northern and eastern areas with a significant fall of temperatures. Moderate to fresh northwesterly to northeasterly winds, with a speed of 15 ‐ 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea.

Thursday, January 12

Partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over some coastal areas with a probability of rainfall. Light to moderate northwesterly and northeasterly becoming easterly winds and fresh at times causing blowing dust especially Eastward, with a speed of 15 ‐ 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.
