UAE weather: NCM issues red, yellow alerts over fog formation
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued fog warnings in several parts of the country. According to the NCM, the day will be fair in general. However, in the afternoon, clouds are expected to start appearing eastward. The authority said in the warning: "Fog formation with a deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may drop even further at times over some coastal and internal areas until 8.30am, Monday." The temperatures are expected to hit as high as 45ºC while mercury rises to 41ºC in Abu Dhabi and 38ºC in Dubai. However, temperatures could also be as low as 29ºC in Abu Dhabi and 31ºC in Dubai. Some western coastal locations will experience 20-90% humidity at night and on Saturday morning. Fog or mist formation is probable. Expect winds to be light to moderate. Conditions at sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
