The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted more rain in parts of the UAE this week, following last week’s wet weather in the northern emirates. Rainfall is expected to affect eastern and southern regions, with convective clouds forming during the afternoons from Tuesday (October 15) through Friday (October 18). On Monday, fair to partly cloudy skies are predicted, with hazy conditions in some areas. The eastern regions could see some convective cloud formations by the afternoon, the NCM reported. Light to moderate winds are expected, with occasional stronger gusts causing blowing dust, especially in exposed areas. The sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, with calmer seas in the Oman Sea. The wet weather is expected to intensify from Tuesday. The NCM warns that dust and sandstorms may reduce visibility, especially in the eastern and southern parts of the country. Convective clouds are likely to form in these regions, potentially bringing rainfall by afternoon. Winds will range from 15 to 25 km/h, with gusts of up to 50 km/h, and the sea will be rough at times. By midweek, conditions are expected to cool slightly. On Wednesday, cloudy skies will dominate, and temperatures will dip slightly. Rain is forecast for eastern and southern parts, with winds freshening at times. The rough seas are expected to calm down later in the day, though visibility may still be reduced by blowing dust. Thursday and Friday will see continued unsettled weather, with cloudy conditions and the possibility of more rain in the east and south. Winds will stay strong, especially in exposed areas, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/h. The weather is expected to clear up heading into the weekend, though there may still be isolated convective clouds and light rain in some parts. The UAE typically experiences rain during the cooler months, and the NCM has advised residents in affected areas to exercise caution while driving, as visibility could be compromised due to sandstorms.5-day UAE weather forecast:
