5-day UAE weather update: More rain forecast after heavy rain lashes parts of UAE

  DUBAI – More rain is forecast to hit parts of the UAE until Monday after heavy downpour hit parts of the country overnight, according to the weather bureau on Saturday (October 5). On Friday, heavy rain caused flash floods in the northern emirates, with wadis overflowing onto roads. In Ras Al Khaimah, video showed water raging down a wadi bed. Saturday’s weather will see the UAE affected by an extension of a surface low pressure system associated with rain in the northern and eastern areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Saturday, October 5

Partly cloudy at times and cloudy over the northern and eastern areas with a probability of rain clouds formation. Humid by night and Sunday morning over some western areas, with a chance of mist formation. Moderate winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate in Oman Sea becoming rough at times with cloud activity.

Sunday, October 6

Partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of convective clouds formation may accompanied with rainfall especially east and northwards, with drop in temperatures. Humid by night and Monday morning especially over the western areas. Moderate southeasterly to mortheasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 45 km/hr. Sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times, especially northwards in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Monday, October 7

Partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of convective clouds formation accompanied with rainfall especially east and northwards. Moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sands, with a speed of 20 – 30, reaching 45 km/hr. Sea will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, October 8

Fair to partly cloudy in general, and cloudy at times toward the east. Moderate southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 18 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, October 9

Fair to partly cloudy, jumid by night and Thursday morning over the coastal areas with a chance of fog and mist formation especially westward. Slight to moderate Southeasterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 18 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
