The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned of unstable weather in the coming days, with rain and strong winds expected across parts of the country from Wednesday (August 20) to Friday (August 22). However, daytime temperatures are expected to rise during the period, while winds will be moderate to strong at times, raising dust and reducing visibility. The NCM said the Intertropical Convergence Zone is moving from the south towards the UAE, coinciding with low-pressure systems and moist air masses from the Arabian Sea and Sea of Oman. Convective clouds are forecast to form over eastern, southern, and some internal areas, bringing rain of varying intensity, as well as some lightning and thunder in parts of the country. Authorities urged the public to exercise caution while driving in dusty conditions and to avoid valleys and areas prone to flash flooding.

Friday, August 22 Fair to partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some eastern and southern areas, with a probability of rainfall, with a decrease in temperatures. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times during daytime, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 Km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea. Saturday, August 23 Fair to partly cloudy and cloudy at times southward. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times during daytime, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 35 Km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea. Sunday, August 24 Fair to Partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some northward and eastward by night.
