Wind and dust warning in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

  An alert warning of gusty winds, dust, and reduced visibility in Dubai and Abu Dhabi was issued by weather forecasters starting from 7am to 6pm on Wednesday (March 9). Dust and sand carried by fresh southeasterly winds with speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour will stretch from Dubai to the south of Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi Police reminded drivers to be cautious of the low visibility and avoid taking videos on their mobile phones. The dusty winds will continue on Thursday ranging from light to moderate speed. The temperature will continue to go up until the end of the week, reaching as high as 41°C in Abu Dhabi and 39°C in Dubai on Friday. Weekends are likely to see a temperature drop of 37°C on Saturday and 34°C on Sunday while the weather is forecasted to be partly sunny and hazy. KSO/Expat Media
