The Al Dhafra Court of First Instance ordered a woman to pay another woman Dh32,000 plus 4% legal interest. According to the complainant's claim, the latter lent the accused sums of money, which she partially paid but did not pay the remaining Dh32,000 after considering it a gift for a new house. The complainant filed a complaint in which she sought that the appellee pays her Dh32,000 and 12% legal interest, as well as the expenses of the lawsuit. She stated that the appellee borrowed Dh40,000 from her and promised to repay her immediately. She allegedly requested another Dh30,000 from the appellant, bringing the total amount to Dh70,000. When requested to refund the money, the accused allegedly paid only Dh38,000 and refused to pay the balance. The accused did not deny what was written in the complainant's bank account statement or what was included in the copies of phone discussions on the WhatsApp application. In addition to the costs and expenditures, the court ordered the appellee to pay the complainant Dh32,000 plus 4% legal interest from the date of filing the lawsuit until full payment.
