An Emirati woman in Ras Al Khaimah sued her husband, demanding that he repay her the Dh243,800 she lent him. She also set three conditions for returning to the man's house: 1. He must restore her money. 2. He must never abandon her again. 3. He must live with her in peace while treating her with kindness. According to her lawsuit, the woman officially married the defendant, but he later abandoned her. She said the man had borrowed Dh243,800 from her but failed to repay it despite earning a high wage. She also provided the court with copies of bank transfer paperwork to back up her assertions. The wife stated that she had previously complained about her problems to the family guidance committee, where she also demanded that her husband fulfill the conditions listed above for her to return to his home. On the other hand, the man refused to comply with his wife's demands. He asked her to return to her marital home with no strings attached. This prompted her to file a lawsuit against him to compel him to pay her money. After hearing from all parties, the Ras al-Khaimah partial civil court issued a verdict directing the husband to pay Dh243,800, the amount of the debt he owes his wife, plus 6% yearly interest from the date of the ruling until complete payment. The man was also ordered to pay his wife's legal fees.
