  DUBAI - The UAE's first floating home has arrived at the Dubai Canal, and more are coming soon, according to the developer. The first floating home was towed along Dubai Canal and berthed at Marasi Business Bay, which is set to becoming the commercial hub of Business Bay. The state-of-the-art floating homes combine ship building heritage with cutting-edge design to "transform waterfront living in the emirate", according to developer Dubai Properties. Each home will come with its own pool and also have exclusive boat access of the surrounding Dubai Water Canal. The smart homes will be part of the Dh1 billion mixed-use Marasi Business Bay, which will also feature floating restaurants. Marasi Business Bay will have a 12km waterfront promenade with parks and business and retail properties. Five marinas accommodating berthing for 1,250 yachts will provide a spectacular gateway to the three themed areas of Marasi Business Bay: The Yacht Club, The Pier, and The Park.
