UAE’s first gym for dogs offers physical activities to make pets happy and healthy
Posh Pets Boutique & Spa, the first gym in the UAE committed to the health and fitness of dogs was founded by an Emirati animal enthusiast, Mansoor Al Hammadi. Hammadi owns three dogs which he values and treats not just as pet but as family. He has a 10-year-old Rottweiler, a Siberian husky of seven years and an English Cocker Spaniel puppy. He said that physical activity improves mood and benefits both people and animals. “Coming to the gym makes dogs happy. In their natural life, dogs run a minimum of 3 km a day but a pet at home, maybe, would do zero km. It would lead to health and behavioural issues,” Hammadi explained. The dog gym owner believes that their services will aid the health and fitness of dogs considering that most of dogs in the country cannot go out for walks due to the hot weather condition in the UAE.
