The Ruler’s Court of Umm Al Quwain has declared three days of official mourning following the death of Sheikha Hessa bint Humaid bin Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, the mother of Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain. The mourning period begins on Monday (March 31), during which the UAE flag will be flown at half-mast across the emirate. Funeral prayers for Sheikha Hessa were scheduled to take place after the noon (Dhuhr) prayer at the Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla Mosque in the Al Ras area of Umm Al Quwain. The court expressed its deep condolences to the ruling family and the people of Umm Al Quwain. ICA/Expat Media
