5-day UAE weather forecast: unstable weather to persist after rain causes chaos

DUBAI - The unstable weather condition in the UAE is forecast to continue until Tuesday after thunderstorms and heavy rain battered Dubai and the rest of the UAE. Persistent rain caused havoc in parts of Dubai on Monday, with at least four schools shut down and traffic jams building up as parts of Sheikh Zayed Road got flooded. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said the weather on Monday is forecast to be cloudy with "different intensities rainfall over scattered areas accompanied with thunder and lightning especially northern and coastal areas." Strong winds may also stir up a sandstorm, according to the weather bureau.
