US inmate claims that Prince is his dad and seeks court rule for DNA test

  COLORADO – An inmate at the maximum-security prison in Colorado has filed a paternity claim with a Minnesota court, claiming he is the son and rightful heir of Prince. The late musician died on April 21 without any known will. His fortune is believed to be worth almost $1 billion in estate and a catalogue of unreleased music. Prince also did not reveal that he had children, but Carlin Williams of Kansas City in Missouri has claimed in court that the late “Purple Rain” singer was his father. In his petition with Carver County District Court, Williams is seeking DNA testing to prove he is Prince’s child. Williams said his mother, Marsha Henson, conceived him after she had sex with Prince in 1976. Under Minnesota law, children are the first in line to inherit, which would put Williams ahead of Prince’s siblings if the court agrees he is Prince’s son.
