Warning over scammers sending fake Dubai Police emails

The Dubai Police warned UAE residents on Friday (January 5) about fake emails from scammers impersonating Dubai Police. The warning came after netizens reported receiving emails claiming that they have an unpaid traffic fine that must be settled otherwise their driver’s licence will be suspended. These fake emails contain a link to a payment gateway designed to siphon off money from their bank account. The Dubai Police warned residents against clicking on any link from suspicious emails. “If the sender email does not contain the domain @dubaipolice.gov.ae, ignore the email and report it immediately,” the Dubai Police advised.
