Watch: Burj Khalifa goes dark for one hour
DUBAI – The Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, went dark for one hour on Saturday (March 26), as Dubai and the rest of the world marked Earth Hour. Non-essential lights were switched off the facade of the Burj Khalifa from 8:30pm to 9:30pm as the iconic building joined millions of people around the world in a global energy conservation effort. Landmarks around the world and household switched off lights at home for one hour. In Dubai, buildings switched off essential lights in support of Earth Hour. It was only at 9:30pm when Burj Khalifa and other buildings in Dubai were back to their glittering glory.
